Once received the acceptance the authors can apply for review of the article by the Editorial Committee of one of the printed book collections with which Redipe counts; Iberoamerican Collection of Pedagogy and Ibero-American Collection of education and other editorial spaces to which it is convened.

Boletín Redipe is an «Open Access» magazine that offers all its production entirely online, open to educational communities and stakeholders, including Redipe members, who do not pay to publish in it. Articles can be written in Spanish, English or Portuguese. Special members of the Redipe community are privileged, whose international population is around 80,000 academics, whose work is of high quality. The minimum length of these is 6 pages and a maximum of 20. They must be written in Arial 12, Word, 1.5 spacing, include: title, author, email, affiliation and footnote relevant bi (bli) ographic data, summary, keywords, development (including introduction), synthesis or conclusions, references (and annexes, if applicable).

Peer Review Process

The articles are sent to the evaluation by omitting the names of the authors and their affiliations. They are examined by two external anonymous evaluators, according to an assessment pattern sent to them. The evaluators are selected by the Editor.

Preliminary evaluation process. In this phase, a review of the editorial quality of the submitted article is carried out by the Editorial Committee, in which it is checked that it complies with the rules for submitting articles and the APA rules in general. In the event that the document presents formal deficiencies or is not consistent with the thematic axis of the journal, the Editor will reject the work without the option of submitting it again.

In a maximum period of 15 days counted from the reception of the article, the authors will receive notification indicating if shortcomings were found for their correction; If the author does not return it with the corrections, the article will be rejected, but if the author returns it duly adjusted, and it is approved by the editorial team, the text will go to the content review stage by expert peers.

The successful completion of this first stage does NOT mean that the article has been accepted for publication.

The protocol used by the reviewers of the journal is public. To see the Article Evaluation Form click here.

  • The arbitration process: external evaluation (double blind) by peers and anonymous. In this phase, the scientific quality of the article is evaluated in terms of its content by referees or expert peers.

The internationally standardized "double-blind" peer review system is used in all article reviews. The articles are sent for evaluation omitting the name of the authors and their affiliations. The articles are evaluated anonymously, by two experts on the subject, according to an evaluation guideline that is sent to them. The evaluators are selected by the Editor among the Ibero-American academic peers of entities external to Redipe.

The evaluators have a maximum time of 20 calendar days to send their opinion. Taking into account the aspects of the evaluation carried out, the acceptance or rejection of the articles for publication will be decided, considering that the article:

  • Can be published without modifications
  • May be published with modifications
  • Not publishable

If applicable, the incorporation of the modifications of the article is given, the suggestions are sent to the author, who will have a time of 20 calendar days from the date of sending.

  • In case of controversies when a positive and a negative opinion of the same work is received, it is sent to a third peer and according to its evaluation an editorial decision will be made.

In case the article is "Not approved", it must be justified.
