The fourth industrial revolution is impacting the business environment; therefore, it is necessary that virtual educational organizations are prepared to innovate in their processes. Using the Scopus database and the VOSViewer software, the following clusters were determined:    a)characteristics of e-learning, (b) characteristics of industry 0, (c) traditional technological advances for education and industry, and (d) emerging technological advances for virtual education and industry. Among the technologies that have the greatest impact in the field of virtual education are machine learning, artificial intelligence, data mining, the Internet of Things, virtual reality, augmented reality, and embedded systems.
