Abstract

This research article sought to characterize the exodus of Venezuelans to Colombia and particularly to the Municipality of Villa del Rosario - Norte de Santander. The study was guided by the quantitative-descriptive paradigm using a survey that inquired about the causes of abandonment of the country, documentation, housing, access to the health system, employment and access to education, among others. The sample consisted of 115 Venezuelan migrants to whom a survey of 40 items was applied. The results show that the surveyed migrants do not have a decent home to live in and lack the necessary public services to have an acceptable quality of life, in addition they do not have the alternative of accessing basic health services to guarantee their survival in case of serious illness.
