Abstract

This study analyzes the incidence of the use of virtual resources in the teaching and learning process of university students in the context of the pandemic and their academic performance, we worked with two groups of students from the same career in five different subjects. The study was carried out at the National University of Chimborazo, it is a no experimental research of a correlational type. The grades of five different subjects of a group of students who worked in person before the pandemic who mainly used the classroom for the academic process were compared and compared with the grades of the same subjects of another group of students in times of pandemic, who only used virtual resources for the development of the entire academic process. Concluding that the group of students who worked in times of pandemic with the full support of virtual resources obtained better academic performance and a lower dispersion of averages than the group of students who completed their studies before the pandemic and who used only the classroom for their academic activities at the University. In this research, an analysis of the level of knowledge of the different groups of students was not carried out, only the academic performance was analyzed.
