Abstract
The termination of the armed conflict in Colombia generates enormous expectations about an immediate future of peaceful coexistence, development and well-being. It is a legitimate desire in a country where violence in its multiple manifestations has prevailed throughout its republican history, the inequality in the distribution of wealth places it in the first places of the world inequity according to the Gini coefficient measurements , and its human development does not improve significantly within the world concert (According to the UNDP Human Development Index, in 2000 Colombia ranked 68th out of 174 countries, and in 2014 it ranked 98th out of 187 nations).
