Abstract
This article offers a critical reflection on the relationship between territory, representation, experience, and subjectivation in contexts historically shaped by symbolic and material disputes. Its main premise is that neither territory nor the subject can be understood as neutral or prior to discourse; rather, both emerge through regimes of knowledge, technologies of power, and practices of signification. The article brings together Foucauldian analytics of power and Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak’s postcolonial critique, while opening a broader dialogue with governmentality, subalternity, performativity, and cognitive justice.
The text develops a hermeneutic-critical approach that examines how knowledge is produced and legitimized in diverse contexts. Experience is not treated as immediate evidence, but as a historical construction mediated by institutions, classificatory practices, and validation mechanisms. The central argument is that listening to the territory is not merely a methodological gesture, but an ethical and political practice that requires questioning the conditions that have produced structural silences.
