Abstract
This article aims to demonstrate the importance of educational citadel in the process of academic formation and promoting the cognitive process, this being understood as the ability to develop knowledge. First it will be provided a brief introduction to a better understanding of cognition and educational citadel concepts. Next, it will be discussed the need to implement the model of educational citadel and similarly, the interference of this model as a strategy to introduce children and young people, settings and contexts that encourage the INSPIRE -e education student basic, secondary and technical secondary, better cognitive development process.
