Abstract

The last years of the last century and the first ones of the present were definitive for the social conformation of a Cartagena that erased, with its demographic densification, the last vestiges of the lives of the men and women of my generation, born between the years of 1936 and 1942, known as the State
of site. After thirty years of guerrilla violence, a violent backlash, that of the paramilitaries, arose, in the face of a notorious lack of state in the infested areas, with the purpose of "protecting" the civilian population that suffered the outbreak of the two fires found .


Moments were in which it was not known which of the two armies was worse than its antagonist, by the atrocities and cruelties that left on its way through municipalities, townships and villages whose dominion were disputed.
