Moodle: Using its tools at northern region university center

Abstract
The Northern Region University Center (CUNorte) of the University of Guadalajara (U. de G.), has a face-to-face educational modality with support in the information and communication technologies, for this it has the educational platform Moodle since 2004 as a technological base in the lodging of its courses, which integrates diverse tools that this one offers in the implementation of learning strategies on the part of the teachers in the academic formation of its students; based on the previous thing the main question arises: How is the advantage of the tools of Moodle in the CUNorte?
The elaboration and development of courses, goes through some processes, among the most important are: a) Instructional Design, b) Didactic Learning Strategies, c) Training and teacher training, and d) Tools or resources, the latter being the case that addresses the present research, as the Moodle platform provides a large number of them to be applied; specifically CUNorte has them classified into two categories by their degree of complexity in its implementation, one called “basic” and the other as “advanced”. The use of the tools responds to various factors related to the purpose and objective sought in their application, as other secondary questions arise:
• In the Moodle platform, are all the tools known?
• Is each tool used in the courses really known?
• Is the use of each tool appropriate?
• Is there any technological innovation of tools within the courses as a didactic strategy?
• Are there any new tools?
