Abstract

This research formulates a model for the management of machinery based on the Lean Management philosophy as an administrative strategy in road construction projects. For this, the application of the loss management methodology was evaluated, later with a pilot study, the simulation of the model was designed and carried out. The main results are: the diagnosis of the administration of the machinery; the characteristics of the Lean philosophy applicable to management as an industrialized process; design of the model and its application as a control tool in the management cycle to plan, do, verify and act. The research concludes that the model generates greater efficiency in the administration of machinery and is a strategy to improve assertiveness in decision-making in the direction of road construction projects.
