Abstract
Education for the care of others is increasingly a priority issue that covers the areas in which life development and is institutionally recognized as Enviromental Education. Being an emerging issue that confronts us with the degradation of the planet, it seems that it is limited only to the development of actions aimed at the preservation of water and nature; however to carry out actions of a socio-enviromental nature, it is necessary to recover the sense of otherness from the property of the subjects, community care and the sense of belonging from the own vision of the subjects who preserve the life and well-being of others and their own. From this position, Leonardo Boff´s thought is recovered for the ethical-ontological value of what one is and can be understood as a virtue of being in its relation ship with life in its different forms and manifestations.
