Abstract

Building values implies a process of understanding articulated with ethical principles that define people as responsible, supportive and critical beings, provoking the creation of processes that promote conditions and guide the actions of the individual or groups that define the way in which the person relates to himself. and with the environment. For this reason, the implication leads to an education in values of the people who will break in to achieve an ideal world with a learning oriented to the values that guide the action of the human being with nature, strengthening spaces to transform society with a better quality of life and Respect for others, today more than ever, loving natural environments implies being aware of our impact on the planet. In this context, the purpose of the article is to reveal the construction of values from an environmental vision with a comprehensive, edifying look at university students. The methodological approach was based on a review of the hermeneutic analytical type, with a compilation of literature on the subject and available on the web. The results obtained indicated the need to review the didactics, the curriculum and the evaluation for the incorporation of actions that promote the development of basic transversal competences related to sustainability in the teaching and learning processes and adapt their practice to pedagogical development. It is concluded that the values must be assumed from an environmental vision as a discipline that offers opportunities to understand the processes that contribute to the understanding of the mechanisms under a comprehensive edifying look, around teaching, training and learning from reflection, relating cognition and critical awareness to develop attitudes that lead to educational achievements, in addition, allow students to develop their potential to incorporate innovation alternatives in classroom processes through concrete practical actions.
