Ibero-American Macroproject diagnosis in digital competences: Synthesis of experiences

Abstract

When it comes to education, the COVID 19 pandemic made all countries look for alternatives to guarantee access at all educational levels. This caused the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) to be taken more into account and, at the same time, to pay more attention the digital skills of students and teachers. Within this framework, the idea of a research project emerged, and it became an Ibero-American Macroproject endorsed by the Red Iberoamericana de Pedagogía (REDIPE) in order to diagnose digital teaching skills. The objective of this work is to present a synthesis of the experience from beginning to end of all the project’s participants from Ecuador, Chile, Colombia and Mexico, who were the ones who were able to maintain themselves throughout the validity of this project. It is concluded, among other aspects, that this type of experience helps not only the internationalization processes of the participants, but also allows them to know and contrasting realities from other contexts in order to seek to improve educational conditions for both teachers and students. Likewise, it allowed the establishment of ties of fellowship and academic and research collaboration between the participating institutions.
