Epistemology in the education of tourism graduates: An enlightening perspective in scientific research

Abstract
This article refers to the importance of research in the education of Tourism graduates, as they greatly benefit from research and epistemology. Since tourism graduates are expected to intervene proactively and creatively in reality, it is essential to provide them with a research pedagogy that enables them to understand the epistemological and methodological issues related to the production of scientific knowledge. To achieve this goal, it is crucial for tourism graduates to learn to identify the relationships between the epistemological assumptions they adopt, the nature of the research object, and the methodological choices they make. The significance and novelty of this article lie in the design of a methodological proposal aimed at promoting the importance of epistemology in the education of tourism graduates. This proposal goes beyond the mere transmission of theoretical knowledge, as it seeks to cultivate practical skills that allow students to apply epistemological principles in the field of tourism research. Thus, the initiative not only contributes to academic development but also prepares future tourism professionals to address challenges in an informed, ethical, and reflective manner in an ever-evolving sector.
