Abstract
The present article offers the theoretical considerations on the academic excellence that constitutes a look toward the universities Latin American contemporary. In the work elements are contributed on the conception of the academic excellence that you they hierarchize like nucleus of the process formative university student. It was used the analysis and critic as method that allowed the revision of the sources of information and the determination of the elements contributed in the specialized literature. The analytic-synthetic methods and the inductive-deductive one are also used, in the concretion of the theoretical contributions of the formation of values and their contextualización in the academic excellence, favoring the understanding of the essential aspects of the topic, on the base of their particularities and to scientific conclusions that are expected in the universities Latin American contemporary. They offer the theoretical considerations and their contextualization in the universities and toward their interior those that contain: the dimensions, subdimensions, features of the personality to use in the same ones, to contribute to elevate the quality of the formative process in the Superior Education toward the academic excellence.
