Abstract
This research was conducted with the purpose of designing a pedagogical strategy and validating the construct of an instrument for gathering information on the perceptions of students in technical agricultural education, to understand and develop a strategy for agricultural entrepreneurship in Boyacá, Colombia. The quantitative methodological approach included a case analysis and sought alignment with various theoretical frameworks related to entrepreneurship. Current problems in rural territories—such as school dropout, youth migration from rural to urban areas, and the lack of life projects related to agriculture—worsen the situation for students. Therefore, based on these particularities and the perceptions gathered through the application of the instrument, the research aims to propose solutions that contribute to strengthening entrepreneurship and community development. The results indicate a relationship between students’ knowledge and the problems identified in their territories, which is complemented by their interest in starting entrepreneurial projects based on identified needs. To measure the instrument’s reliability, Cronbach’s Alpha was used, yielding a reliability coefficient of 0.83, which is consistent with the constructs intended to be measured using a Likert scale focused on students’ perceptions.
