Abstract
A reflective and critical overview of basic and secondary education in three institutions in the municipality of Tuluá, Valle del Cauca, is presented, focusing on the period during the COVID-19 pandemic and the social movement that emerged in Colombia during this historical moment. The research aimed to make the articulation between school, family, and community a transformative element in addressing the various crises experienced by the country, offering both an individual and collective option for constructing meaning in education. The qualitative study used a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach. A set of narratives were intersubjectively constructed, enabling the interpretation and understanding of the experiences of the teaching staff in the educational institutions under study. It is worth noting that the adversities experienced led to a profound questioning of routines, forcing the exploration of new forms of solidarity and creativity. Teachers, students, and families needed to reassess their roles and develop innovative solutions to ensure the continuity of the educational process. The return to the debatable “normality” involved a range of initiatives and disruptions.
