Application of BIG 6 in the solution of information problems in university management

Abstract
Interest in the skills and attitudes towards the handling of information has been renewed in recent years. The access to multiple sources of information causes that at present an excess of the same is experienced and in the majority of occasions a greater amount than is capable of being assimilating is received. This research was carried out with the objective of applying the Big 6 Model, in the solution of information problems related to university management. To this end, an updated bibliographic review on the subject was made. The Big 6 model consisted of six steps which were applied in order to favor managerial skills in ELAM managers. It was a very useful ALFIL tool for searching and solving information problems in aspects related to the updating of educational management issues.
