Abstract
One of the tasks of education is to generate scenarios to awaken in the learners reflective, critical, generative and uplifting awareness about themselves, their relationship with life and the world. Boletín Redipe serves as a device that provides reflections and inquiries on the way in which states and their institutions, counting the educational system, assume or ignore this purpose. The articles in this issue include reflections on this subject, proposals and research developments based largely on prestigious constructs such as the political hermeneutic approach as an alternative methodology that allows us to understand the need for awareness in social individuals for the construction of their possible utopías in spatio-temporal terms (Hémbuz-Peralta).
Also the article by Professor Carlos A. Duque about the work of the Colombian philosopher Castro Gómez, in which he addresses another alternative perspective, the approach of critical interculturality.
