Abstract
This work aims to delve into the spatial metaphors that young university students create to name the places they frequent on campus and other study sites. The research is qualitative descriptive and is based on the relationship of university students with the space they inhabit during their academic life. The names and the collectively constructed toponymic metaphors were compiled through the narrations that many made about their life in the university. There in those names imaginary and values shared by the students, active subjects that give meaning to places are evident.
