Abstract

The text deals with an issue of utmost importance in university education and that is communicative skills. It is based on the fact that communication is an indispensable process for today’s life, which is why it is extremely urgent to address this area in university transversal training. There are various models that have included communicative competencies in the curricula, either as a curricular structure, as subjects or as transversal training, however, they are little known. Furthermore, there is a confusion between designating linguistic skills as communicative competencies, a situation that this paper seeks to explain. This writing aims to relationally define communication and work on these competencies from communication. Finally, it prepares a series of proposals for training in this field.
