Values education based on research reality from an edifying understanding

Abstract
Education in values represents a comprehensive training of people, allowing them to assimilate and positively transform the natural and social reality, based on respect, equality, autonomy and justice, which linked to research represents a fundamental activity to generate knowledge, solve problems and improve the quality of education with responsibility, honesty and transparency. Both aspects, interrelated, influence the way people investigate, and research can provide evidence, reflections and proposals to improve research reality. In this context, the purpose of the article is to interpret education in values based on investigative reality from an edifying understanding, for this, a review of the literature referring to the topic available on the web focused on relevant academic articles is assumed as a methodological approach. , which allowed determining the state of current and contemporary art inherent to the positioning of values and research. The results obtained reveal that it is essential to promote an education in values that places the action of the human being, strengthening spaces to transform society through spaces for ethical-scientific development, particularly in the university context where research plays a fundamental role, by promoting the production of scientific, technological and social knowledge, fostering links with other sectors of society, based on moral principles. It is concluded that values shape people’s daily experience and are related to the ability to evaluate the world around us and prioritize what is believed to be most appreciable among different options, guiding us towards the most valuable path of investigative reality from an edifying understanding.
