Abstract
This review and understanding article about the place of research in the pedagogical practices of Bachelor’s Degrees in Early Childhood Education in Colombia, explores the offer of undergraduate programs in said field of study, their administrative and organizational structure, their research and academic production. around childhoods, as well as in educational practices and their emergence in the face of the feat of knowledge and location of it. Likewise, it reveals the demands of public policies for Higher Education, focusing on the accreditation, naming and research processes, making clear the importance and implication of research processes at the training level and evidencing the absences, gaps and situations in the field of early childhood education in terms of inquiry processes.
