Abstract

Altought educational policy in Mexico established the official speach of inclusion since the year 2016, is until the current goverment (2018-2024) that education inclusiveness acquired centrality, promoting an educational reform that is known as New Mexican School (Solis del Moral and Tinajero, 2023). In 2019, Undergraduate Psychology Program was created at the Faculty of Health. at the Universidad Autónoma del Carmen whose vision was to expand the job opportunities for graduates, therefore, they established four terminal areas, called optional subjects.


There are two of these from the educational area: Educational Inclusion for the 21st Century and Detection and care of atypical students. Whose objectives are to know the educational policies in Mexico on inclusion, understand the meaning of diversity and inclusion by identifying situations in students to intervene with them according to their particular characteristics. 


Worked with 43 students from a non-probabilistic sample using a qualitative methodology. The results show that students graduated with sufficient skills to work in school contexts that require inclusive intervention processes, since they have been carried out constant approaches to the receiving institutions whose evidence demostrates who are pleased with the work done by the students and several of the graduates are achieving immediate hiring in these institutions.
