The bioethics of care as a cross-cutting axis in the comprehensive education of upper secondary students

Abstract
Pedagogical intervention aimed at strengthening the comprehensive education processes of upper secondary students regarding environmental education can be structured in various ways. This paper presents the theoretical and practical path undertaken by the Department of Educational Research of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), at the Faculty of Higher Studies Acatlán (2017–2024), to provide a substantial and applicable foundation for the proposal of the transversalization of the bioethics of care of the self, the other, and otherness. Moving from philosophical and pedagogical principles, this work finds a meeting point not only with the curriculum of the Colegio de Ciencias y Humanidades (CCH) Naucalpan Campus, but also with the teachers responsible for educating young people at this stage, thus enriching the dialogue surrounding the proposal and its implementation possibilities.
